Did you know that Mike Goldberg is also a professional musician?  In addition to his meteorological training, Mike holds a degree in clarinet performance from the world-renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.  He is the Music Director of the Central Virginia Wind Symphony, a group of the most talented high school musicians in Central Virginia, Music Specialist for the Deep Run High School Band, and Woodwind Instructor for the Lee Davis High School Band.  Mike is the Assistant Conductor for the Richmond Philharmonic, Music Director of the Capital City Summer Wind Band and the founder and Artistic Director for the chamber music ensemble Crescendo.  He also performs occasionally with the Richmond Symphony and other local ensembles.
